General Assembly for February, 2025 with guest speaker D'Andre Braddix, Ed.D.

Morrison-Talbott Library, 215 Park St. Waterloo, IL 62298
We hope you join us for the General Assembly on Monday, February 10th, 2025 at the Morrison-Talbott Library.

Join us for our February 2025 General Assembly on Monday, February 10th! This month we will welcome guest speaker D'Andre Braddix, Ed.D. to speak on "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion". Dr. Braddix is the chief engagement officer at St. Louis Community College, where he is responsible for advancing STLCC’s mission, vision, and values through strategic engagement within the College and broader community.

Dr. Braddix currently serves as chair of the board directors of Citizens for Modern Transit – a non-profit transit advocacy organization which helps ensure the St. Louis region has access to a safe, convenient, and affordable public transportation system. Additionally, Dr. Braddix serves as co-chair for Missouri’s Postsecondary Equity Network – a coalition of more than twenty higher education institutions and community partners working to eliminate equity gaps in degree completion for low-income and students of color.

We're rolling out a new format for our general assemblies. To honor the Listen in Waterloo Listens, we now will feature a guest speaker at each meeting, and we're counting on you to bring the Waterloo! Speakers will usually do questions and answers, so bring your curiosity, too.

You can also learn about our committees for future events and current projects and learn about how we are responding to current events in our community.

The meeting starts at 7pm at the Morrison-Talbott Library in Waterloo, Illinois.

If you would like to attend virtually, please email us at waterloolistens@gmail.com for Zoom login information.
