Looking Back

Thank you to all who attended our Social Mixer: Resistance is Community at Kodiak Hollow on 3/26. We enjoyed seeing new faces, brainstorming ways WL can better build community, and sipping yummy drinks from Living Millennially. Thanks to Living Millennially and Kodiak Hollow for your continued commitment to WL and to building community!

Our team at the HSS/Caritas Trivia night in March had a fun time representing WL and raising funds for the client’s vacation fund. Thank you to everyone on our team for coming and donating your portion of the table back to WL so we can use those funds to reserve a table again next year!

WL at the Farmer’s Market: WL gave away free trash bags on opening day at the MoCo Farmer’s Market to use for picking up trash around town in honor of Earth Day!

WHS Diversity Club: WL donated $130 to the Waterloo High School Diversity Club to cover the cost of club t-shirts!

Looking Forward

WL will again have a booth at the 2nd annual Columbia/Waterloo Pride Festival on Sunday, June 7. We need volunteers for our table. Can you help? Two hour shifts, bring a friend! Sign up here. Stop by our table to learn about our efforts, programming, and ways to get involved. Help us fundraise for our LGBTQIA+ fund, which supports the WHS Diversity Club.

General Assembly Thursday June 11th at 7pm, Monroe County Annex. We’ll be inviting small business owners and discussing the topic of ethical consumption as a form of resistance.

Our 6th Annual Anniversary Party is planned for July 9th at Konarcik Park.
